Temporary Optometric Technician (Full or Part‑Time)

About the position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Optometric Technician to join this growing team on a per diem or hourly basis. This is a full or part-time, temporary position to cover for a staff member currently on leave, with no confirmed return date. The role is expected to last several months, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on staffing needs. Responsibilities: Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly manner Obtain and document patient histories and preliminary testing Perform visual acuity testing, tonometry, and other pre-exam procedures Operate and maintain optometric equipment Assist optometrists during examinations and with procedures as needed Manage patient flow and assist with administrative duties as required Maintain sterile and organized workspaces Support other team members as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations About the Position: Position Type: Full or Part-Time, Temporary (Potential for Permanent) Compensation: Competitive hourly wage between $22 and $28, based on experience Opportunity for the position to become permanent, depending on staffing needs How to Apply: If you are a dedicated team player looking for a flexible opportunity in a supportive clinical environment, we encourage you to apply!
