Junior IT Administrator

About the position

Location: Hybrid - Mrieħel, Malta (3 days per week in office) Reporting to: IT Administrator Key Responsibilities Manage JumpCloud to secure identities, control SSO, and enforce device policies across all OS platforms. Own Google Workspace administration, controlling all user accounts, groups, and permissions. Administer our Slack environment, handling workspace settings, channels, and user provisioning. Crush the Jira queue by prioritizing and resolving IT support tickets fast. Troubleshoot and fix hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Control the entire hardware lifecycle, from new hire deployments to offboarding recovery. Enforce strict security standards, patch endpoints, and make MFA mandatory via JumpCloud. Write clear internal guides and FAQs so users can solve basic tech issues themselves. What You Bring Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or junior sysadmin roles. Hands-on troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Experience with Cloud Directory, IAM, or MDM tools - JumpCloud expertise is a massive plus. Practical knowledge administering Google Workspace and Slack from the backend. A track record of using Jira (or similar) to manage support workflows. A strong grasp of IT security basics, patching, and exactly why MFA matters. The autonomy to solve complex problems quickly while delivering direct, effective support.
