Position Overview The Data Architect is responsible for designing and governing the organization’s centralized data platform, ensuring all business systems integrate into a unified and scalable data environment. The company operates a modern technology stack where operational and financial systems feed into a central data lake built on Microsoft Fabric, serving as the single source of truth for reporting and analytics. This role defines the architecture, standards, and long-term strategy of the data ecosystem. The Data Architect ensures that data from multiple sources — including operational systems, marketing tools, and external platforms — is structured, reliable, and accessible for business intelligence. The position also provides technical leadership and architectural oversight to data engineers and BI developers responsible for implementation. Core Responsibilities Data Architecture Design Define and maintain the structure of the organization’s data ecosystem. Responsibilities include: Designing scalable frameworks for integrating internal systems and external platforms into the central data environment Defining data models, schemas, and relationships within the data lake Ensuring the architecture supports performance, scalability, and reliability Maintaining documentation of data architecture and design standards Data Governance & Standards Establish and enforce best practices for managing data across the organization. Responsibilities include: Defining standards for data structure, quality, security, and accessibility Ensuring consistency and integrity across data sources Implementing governance processes that support reliable reporting Maintaining compliance with internal data management standards Data Platform Strategy Guide the long-term direction of the company’s data infrastructure. Responsibilities include: Defining the roadmap for data architecture and platform evolution Identifying opportunities to improve system integration and automation Ensuring the platform can scale as new systems and technologies are introduced Supporting continuous improvement of reporting and data workflows System Integration Oversight Ensure new systems are properly integrated into the centralized data platform. Responsibilities include: Overseeing integration of systems such as CRM, ERP, marketing tools, and operational platforms Ensuring new data sources are structured correctly within the data environment Supporting consistent data flow across all integrated systems Tools & Systems Candidates should have experience working within modern data ecosystems. Data Platforms Microsoft Fabric or similar data lake environments Data warehouse and data modeling concepts Enterprise Systems CRM and ERP platforms Marketing and operational systems Data Tools SQL or equivalent querying tools Data integration and pipeline frameworks Qualifications Proven experience in data architecture or data engineering roles Strong understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data warehouse concepts Experience designing scalable data architectures Strong knowledge of data governance and data quality practices Experience integrating multiple systems into a centralized data platform Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and business teams
