The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead the backend roadmap for our US Equity Trading platform, with upcoming expansion into options and other listed products. You will take full ownership of the Order Management System (OMS) and Market Data components, working alongside our C++ engineering team to deliver an event-driven, real-time trading infrastructure that sets the benchmark for the industry. Role Summary Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for backend OMS and Market Data systems. Translate business, trading, and regulatory needs into clear technical requirements for C++ engineering teams. Ensure our backend platform is robust, scalable, and ready for expansion into options and additional asset classes. Key Responsibilities Define and maintain the product vision and strategy for OMS and Market Data within the overall trading platform. Gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements from stakeholders and other business owners. Own and manage the product backlog: write epics and detailed user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize work based on value, risk, and technical dependencies. Work daily with backend C++ teams in a distributed, event‑driven, real‑time architecture environment. Collaborate with the frontend Product Owner to ensure consistency of features and APIs across backend and client‑facing components. Coordinate releases and go‑live plans, including UAT planning, sign‑off, and post‑release monitoring. What you'll bring 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in electronic trading, brokerages, exchanges, crypto exchanges, or similar financial technology environments. Technical Product Owner or Product Manager in other fintech (payments, FX/CFD, crypto, securities back‑office) wanting to move into equities/options. Proven track record working closely with backend engineering teams. Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban): backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment. Ability to write clear, unambiguous user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can implement efficiently. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; comfortable making trade‑offs between scope, time, and technical complexity. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
