Key Responsibilities Perform precise calibration and verification of measurement tools and equipment. Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems. Conduct detailed dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using various metrology instruments. Document and maintain accurate calibration records, inspection reports, and measurement data. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with metrology equipment and measurement processes. Assist in the development and improvement of measurement procedures and quality control standards. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on measurement techniques and equipment usage. Recommended Qualifications Associates degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in operating and interpreting results from various precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMMs). Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with calibration and verification procedures for measurement equipment. Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality assurance. Familiarity with metrology software packages (e.g., CMM programming software, data acquisition systems). Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS) including complex GD&T and offline programming. Proficiency with 3D scanning technologies (e.g., laser, structured light) and associated software for reverse engineering or complex surface analysis. Demonstrated ability in statistical software (e.g., Minitab) for advanced Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and process capability studies. Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standards and calibration laboratory best practices.
