Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models or blueprints. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to define measurement routines. Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for various part geometries. Perform routine CMM machine and probe calibration and verification. Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate comprehensive inspection reports. Troubleshoot and debug existing CMM programs and resolve measurement anomalies. Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure accurate part inspection. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications. Demonstrated knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques. Hands-on experience with CMM operation, setup, and troubleshooting. Bonus Qualifications Experience with fixture design and fabrication for CMM measurement. Proficiency with additional metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or optical comparators. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and data application. Experience in metrology lab maintenance, equipment calibration, or quality system audits.
