This is a pivotal role requiring a blend of administrative efficiency and exceptional interpersonal skills. The Snapshot Location: Woodberry Grove, Hackney (Near Finsbury Park/Manor House) Salary: Competitive Grade (Based on experience and Hackney local government scales) Contract: Full-time, Term-time only Hours: Typically 08:00 – 16:30 (subject to school requirements) The Role As the first person visitors, parents, and students meet, you will set the tone for the school’s professional and inclusive environment. Your day-to-day will be fast-paced and varied, involving: Visitor Management: Greeting guests, managing sign-in procedures, and upholding safeguarding protocols. Communication: Managing a busy switchboard, redirecting calls, and handling the school’s general email inquiries. Student Support: Assisting students with general inquiries, late arrivals, and coordinating with the attendance team. Administrative Support: Utilizing school management systems (such as SIMS or Arbor ) to maintain accurate records. The Environment Situated in the heart of the Woodberry Down regeneration area, this school sits within a vibrant, diverse community. It offers a modern working environment with a supportive office team. Communication: A calm, professional telephone manner and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
