Accounting and Controlling Specialist

About the position

Accounting and Controlling Specialist Support the Divisional Controller with hands-on month-end close controlling activities, technical accounting analyses, cross-functional analytics, and drafting of technical accounting memos, while helping drive initiatives to accelerate the close timeline and improve overall quality and accuracy Main activities: Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information in accordance with US GAAP and Company policy to support company filing requirements; Execute month-end close controlling activities, including journal entries, calculating accruals, managing intercompany accounting, performing flux analysis and variance commentary, and supporting management reporting; Support plant controllers in month-end close reporting activities and technical accounting inquiries in accordance with Company policy and US GAAP; Assist with financial forecasting by analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and partnering with stakeholders to support budgeting, strategic planning, and performance management; Perform technical accounting analyses on various topics like inventory, restructuring, foreign currency, intercompany, leases, and others; Draft technical accounting memos and position papers for Controller review and approval; Prepare analytics to support operational and cross-functional decision-making; Draft financial statements for various reporting needs; Partner with the Divisional Controller to roll out initiatives that improve month-end close speed and overall financial reporting quality Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance 2-4 years of experience with exposure to public accounting and auditing SEC clients under US GAAP Advanced English skills required Automotive Tier 1 or manufacturing experience a plus Willingness to travel (but minimal) Willingness to work off-hours What’s in it for you: •Attractive compensation package •Recognition awards, company events, family events, university discount options and many more perks. •Gender Pay Equality Autoliv is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
