The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across St. Johns seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and customer payments. Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and tax withholdings. Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy. Track and record manufacturing-related costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead. Prepare monthly financial statements, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, supporting accurate valuation of raw materials and finished goods. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and assist with year-end audits. Recommended Qualifications 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) for inventory and production tracking. Demonstrated understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and job costing. Strong reconciliation skills for bank accounts, vendor statements, and general ledger. Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and support month-end close processes. Bonus Qualifications Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Familiarity with cost accounting principles and inventory valuation. Understanding of manufacturing workflows and their financial implications. Proficiency in generating reports for production-related financial analysis.
