Junior Accountant - iGaming

About the position

Our client, an online casino and betting operator based in St Julian’s, Malta, is currently looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Sr Accounting Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for various accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks, supporting the day-to-day administration of the finance department. This is a hybrid role that offers a salary of up to €28K depending on experience, plus a pension benefit of 5% of your annual gross salary and other benefits. Role & Responsibilities Performing general accounting duties and assisting the finance team Financial statement reconciliations Owning the process of Accounts Payable (postings, reconciliations, and communication with suppliers) Providing support in Accounts Receivable and accounting for Cash & Cash equivalents Assisting in audit procedures and month-end closing (including accruals & prepayments) Education, Skills, and Requirements Formal education in accounting or finance 1+ years of experience in a similar role in Malta Fluent in English, both written and spoken Proficient in MS Office and accounting software Keen eye for detail Organised and able to work independently as well as within a team Willingness to learn About the role Salary of up to €28K depending on experience, plus a 5% pension benefit Hybrid – 2 days WFH following probation Benefits package includes gym allowance, health insurance, and more Weekly team lunches and drinks on Friday Free parking Extra day leave on your birthday Apply with your detailed CV in English. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
