Purpose of the Role: The Fumigation Associate serves as the designated lead responsible for overseeing and implementing pest management controls for finished goods. This role ensures that all fumigation activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company protocols. Heres how you would make an impact: Execute fumigation and pest management procedures to ensure the safety, quality, and integrity of finished goods. Organize and maintain the proper arrangement of finished goods inventory to support effective fumigation. Monitor and ensure availability of fumigation and pest control materials. Prepare and secure plastic fumigation covers according to safety and operational standards. Apply fumigants accurately and safely by following established company procedures. Conduct daily monitoring of phosphine gas levels and ensure compliance with safety thresholds. Secure and restrict access to fumigation areas to maintain a safe work environment. Deactivate and dispose of fumigants responsibly, following environmental and safety regulations. Monitor, record, and update data from serrico traps to track pest activity. Promote good housekeeping practices to maintain cleanliness and prevent pest infestation.
