We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Teacher (Part-Time) to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis from March 2025. Role Overview As a Year 3 Teacher , you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that all pupils are engaged, motivated, and making excellent progress. This part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity for an educator seeking flexibility while still making a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and inspired to learn. Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs. Promote curiosity, independent learning, and a growth mindset among pupils. Pupil Progress & Assessment Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform lesson planning and targeted support. Provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support learning and development. Work with colleagues and leadership to implement interventions where necessary. Classroom & Behaviour Management Set high expectations for behaviour and maintain a positive and respectful learning atmosphere. Implement school behaviour policies effectively to promote a culture of responsibility and mutual respect. Develop strong relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Collaboration & Professional Development Work closely with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and share best practices. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities where required. Engage with parents and carers to build strong home-school partnerships that support pupil progress. School Contribution Participate in school activities, trips, and events to enhance the learning experience. Contribute to the wider school community, supporting whole-school initiatives and values. Uphold the school’s ethos and act as a positive role model for pupils. Candidate Requirements Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 3. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Desirable: Experience in a part-time or job-share teaching role. Understanding of SEND and EAL teaching strategies.
