Start Date: January 2026 A high-performing secondary school in Essex is seeking a proactive and skilled Science Technician to join its well-resourced Science department from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a practical background and an interest in supporting scientific learning. The Role You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, ensuring equipment, materials, and laboratories are prepared to the highest standard. The Department The Science team is collaborative and passionate, working in state-of-the-art labs with the latest apparatus and digital systems. The department achieves excellent results and fosters curiosity and independent learning. Responsibilities Prepare, set up, and clear away equipment for practical lessons. Maintain and repair laboratory apparatus. Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed. Support teachers in experiments and demonstrations. Maintain safe working practices and COSHH compliance. About You Background in Science, lab work, or technician support. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong understanding of health and safety in laboratories.
