We seek a unique hybrid professional who combines engineering acumen with marketing creativity to execute time-sensitive, project-based marketing initiatives. This role is designed for professionals who excel in short-duration, high-intensity projects and prefer flexible engagements over traditional full-time employment. You will be our clients' secret weapon for launching products, creating technical content, and executing data-driven marketing campaigns that require both technical depth and marketing sophistication. Core Mission Your primary objective: Deliver immediate, measurable marketing impact through project-based interventions that require both technical understanding and marketing execution capabilities. How you'll create value: Translate complex technical products into compelling marketing narratives Execute technical marketing projects with precision and speed Create marketing assets that bridge engineering specifications with customer benefits Provide surge capacity for critical marketing initiatives without long-term commitment Key Responsibilities & Project Types Technical Content Creation (35% of engagements) Develop technical whitepapers, case studies, and solution briefs that explain complex products to diverse audiences Create product documentation, API guides, and technical specifications for marketing use Produce technical blog posts, tutorials, and educational content that demonstrates product capabilities Script and storyboard technical demo videos, webinars, and product walkthroughs Product Launch Support (30% of engagements) Execute technical aspects of product launches including documentation, demo environments, and sales training materials Develop competitive positioning matrices and technical comparison guides Create technical FAQs, implementation guides, and integration documentation Support go-to-market planning with technical insights and market analysis Campaign Technical Execution (25% of engagements) Implement tracking, analytics, and technical infrastructure for marketing campaigns Set up and optimize marketing automation workflows, lead scoring rules, and integration points Create technical assets for ABM (Account-Based Marketing) campaigns targeting technical buyers Analyze campaign performance data and provide technical recommendations for optimization Sales Enablement Engineering (10% of engagements) Develop technical battle cards, ROI calculators, and configuration tools for sales teams Create interactive product demos and proof-of-concept frameworks Train sales teams on technical differentiators and competitive positioning Build technical qualification frameworks and discovery questionnaires Engagement Model & Availability On-Call Structure: Availability Commitment: 20 hours per month minimum guaranteed availability Response Time: 24-hour response commitment for new project requests Project Duration: Typically 1-6 week engagements, 10-40 hours per week based on project scope Peak Periods: Higher availability expected during client quarterly cycles (months 3, 6, 9, 12) Compensation Approach: Retainer Component: Monthly retainer for guaranteed availability Project Rates: Tiered hourly or project-based pricing Performance Bonuses: For projects exceeding agreed KPIs Retainer Against Projects: Retainer amounts credited against project work Required Competencies Technical Requirements 3+ years in technical marketing, developer relations, solutions engineering, or product marketing roles Hands-on experience with at least two: API documentation, technical writing, demo environment setup, marketing automation systems, or analytics implementation Understanding of modern tech stacks, cloud architectures, and development methodologies Portfolio of technical marketing assets you've created (case studies, whitepapers, demos, documentation) Marketing Capabilities Experience executing integrated marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes Proficiency with marketing tools (CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms) Understanding of funnel metrics, conversion optimization, and lead scoring Ability to create content for different stages of the buyer journey Project Excellence Proven ability to deliver complete projects on tight timelines
