As KS1 Teacher, you will establish effective routines, deliver phonics and early writing lessons, run small-group interventions and build positive relationships with families across Slough. The KS1 Teacher will assess pupils frequently and plan next steps that secure rapid progress. Role responsibilities Deliver daily phonics, guided reading and progressive KS1 lessons. Assess pupils regularly and plan targeted interventions. Prepare engaging classroom and outdoor learning environments. Collaborate with teaching assistants to scaffold learning effectively. Maintain learning journals and communicate progress clearly to parents. Person specification Qualified teacher with EYFS/KS1 experience and strong phonics practice. Creative, organised and confident in early assessment. Available to start January 2026 and attend induction beforehand.
