Accountant

Job Summary The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and ensuring full compliance with statutory and tax regulations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of financial transactions. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards. Conduct variance analysis and interpret financial data to support decision-making. Provide insights into trends, costs, revenues, and financial performance. Monitor key financial metrics and recommend improvements where necessary. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Track budget performance and highlight deviations to management. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns. Coordinate with external auditors during audits. Maintain compliance with TRA and other regulatory bodies. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA qualification or progress toward it is an added advantage. Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis. Solid understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory compliance. Conversant with Excel. Females are encouraged to apply.
