We are working with a prestigious independent school in Leeds recruiting for an experienced HR Manager. The school is known for its small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratio, requiring a sophisticated HR service that supports a large team of academic and peripatetic staff. The Role You will oversee the complete employee lifecycle, ensuring the school maintains its reputation as an employer of choice in the region. Start Date: ASAP (Full-time, Permanent) Key responsibilities include: Policy Modernisation: Regularly reviewing the staff handbook and policies to reflect changes in UK employment law and ISI inspection requirements. Onboarding & Induction: Designing bespoke induction programmes that reflect the unique culture and traditions of the school. Payroll Liaison: Working closely with the Finance Bursar to ensure accurate data for monthly payroll and pension contributions. Conflict Resolution: Acting as a neutral mediator to resolve internal staff queries and maintain a harmonious working environment. Salary Range: £36,000 – £49,500 (Regional Scale)
