Year 1 Teacher - Slough

About the position

Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Slough , working with children at a vital stage in their learning and development. Year 1 is a key transition year, and the successful candidate will play an important role in helping pupils move confidently from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. You will deliver engaging, structured, and developmentally appropriate lessons that build strong foundations in phonics, early reading, writing, and mathematics, while continuing to support pupils’ personal and social development. You will create a positive and well-managed classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. Working closely with colleagues and support staff, you will ensure that learning is inclusive and accessible to all pupils, using assessment effectively to identify next steps and support progress. This role is suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers . Early Career Teachers will receive strong mentoring and structured support, while experienced teachers will have opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and share good practice.
