Physics Teacher Opportunity in Buckinghamshire!

About the position

We are currently seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and inspiring Physics Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in Buckinghamshire on a full-time, permanent basis starting January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced Physics specialist to teach within a forward-thinking, academically ambitious and well-resourced Science Faculty. About the Science & Physics Department The Science Department is energetic, well-structured and supported by specialist technicians and experienced subject leads. The Physics team delivers consistently strong results at both GCSE and A-Level, and the subject is highly popular among students with a strong uptake into Sixth Form. Labs are modern and fully equipped with high-quality apparatus for demonstrations, investigations and advanced Physics practicals. Role Responsibilities • Teaching Physics across KS3–KS5 (A-Level experience desirable, but strong KS4 teachers considered) • Delivering high-quality lessons that challenge, inspire and develop scientific thinking • Using practical experiments and demonstrations to enhance student understanding • Assessing progress, planning interventions and supporting exam preparation • Contributing to departmental planning, curriculum development and enrichment • Supporting STEM initiatives, Physics clubs or related competitions Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Physics or a closely related discipline • PGCE with QTS (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome) • Strong Physics subject knowledge and passion for the subject • Ability to deliver engaging lessons that promote curiosity and academic ambition Salary Paid to scale – MPS/UPS depending on experience Application To be considered for this full-time Physics Teacher role in Buckinghamshire, please forward your CV as soon as possible.
