The Year 4 Teacher will deliver coherent, knowledge-rich sequences across the curriculum, run targeted interventions, lead enrichment activities and contribute to phase moderation. This Year 4 Teacher post begins January 2026, with a full handover and induction scheduled before January 2026 so the successful Year 4 Teacher can begin the spring term fully prepared. Position details Role: Year 4 Teacher — Chelsea Start date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time About the role The Year 4 Teacher will plan progressive units that build vocabulary and disciplinary knowledge, deliver high-quality guided reading and mathematical reasoning sessions, and design focused interventions to close gaps. The Year 4 Teacher will use assessment to set precise next steps and will collaborate with subject leads across Chelsea to develop curriculum resources and best practice. Key responsibilities Deliver ambitious Year 4 lessons that combine clarity, challenge and purposeful practice. Lead small-group tuition, evaluate impact and adapt provision accordingly. Contribute to curriculum mapping, moderation and cross-curricular projects within Chelsea. Communicate pupil progress to parents, attend review meetings and support transition planning. Support whole-school enrichment and pastoral programmes. Person specification Qualified teacher with proven Year 4/KS2 experience and evidence of raising standards. Strong planning, assessment and classroom-management skills with a reflective approach. Confident communicator, collaborative and ready to start January 2026 in Chelsea.
