Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the position

Our client is a family-owned company and leading FMCG manufacturer based in the Suffolk area. Job Role & Key Responsibilities: Maintain and install agricultural machinery, systems, and vehicles across multiple sites, with a mix of workshop and on-site work. Key Responsibilities: Service and repair tractors, trailers, and cutting machinery Install and maintain feeders, drinkers, heaters, water/gas lines Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults (230v/415v & vehicle electrics) Perform light plumbing and electrical work Respond to breakdowns and support system installs Assist the Agricultural Maintenance Manager as needed The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Mechanical engineering background (BTEC Level 3 or equivalent) City & Guilds 3905 or similar in vehicle mechanics Hands-on experience with agricultural machinery Basic plumbing and electrical skills Strong problem-solving and self-motivation Desirable Skills: Experience in agriculture, plant, or service maintenance Able to stay calm under pressure and juggle varied tasks Good communication and independent working Benefits Include: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Company van + mobile Staff shop discounts Pension scheme Staff and family events If you believe you are a great fit for this role, wed love to hear from you.
