The SEN TA will support in-class learning, deliver targeted interventions, assist with sensory regulation strategies and help run social skills groups. This SEN TA vacancy starts January 2026, with induction and handover planned prior to January 2026 so the SEN TA can begin the spring term confident and prepared. Position details Role: SEN TA — Wandsworth Start date: January 2026 About the role The SEN TA will work under the direction of the SENCo to implement individual learning plans, adapt classroom activities and deliver small-group tuition. The SEN TA will support pupils with a range of needs including communication and interaction, cognition and learning, and SEMH, contributing to assessments and review meetings within the Wandsworth setting. As SEN TA you will help create a calm learning climate and support transition arrangements across year groups in Wandsworth. Key responsibilities Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions and accurately record impact. Support access to whole-class lessons by scaffolding tasks and modelling strategies. Assist with personal care or sensory breaks where needed and follow risk-reduction plans. Liaise with external specialists, feed into reviews and support multi-agency work in Wandsworth. Help prepare resources, support transitions and contribute to inclusive practice across the school. Person specification Prior experience supporting pupils with SEND and confidence delivering structured interventions as a SEN TA. Calm, empathetic and adaptable with strong communication and record-keeping skills. Able to start January 2026, attend induction and integrate into the Wandsworth team before January 2026.
