Role Status & Location Position: Caretaker (Support Staff). Sector: Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary Academy. Location: Liverpool (North West). Start Date: Permanent, full-time role commencing January 2026. The Opportunity & Contract Profile This Outstanding academy in Liverpool requires a highly reliable and practical individual to maintain the daily security, cleanliness, and functionality of the school premises. The role is vital in ensuring a safe learning environment for the school community and requires flexibility for shift work. Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope Site Security: Key holder duties, managing alarm systems, and securely locking up and opening the premises. Maintenance: Performing minor repairs (DIY, basic plumbing/electrics), and assisting the Site Manager with maintenance logs and external contractor supervision. Presentation: Ensuring internal areas and external grounds are kept clean, tidy, and fit for use, including setting up facilities for school events. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a maintenance or site support role and strong H&S awareness. Salary: Competitive salary (ranging from £24,000 – £28,000 Annually). Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and support for vocational training.
