About the position

A successful 11–18 secondary school in Derbyshire is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026 . The Role You’ll play a vital role in monitoring, improving and promoting excellent pupil attendance. Responsibilities include: Monitoring daily registers and following up absences promptly Liaising with parents/carers, pastoral leaders and external agencies Producing attendance reports for SLT and safeguarding teams Coordinating intervention meetings and attendance plans Maintaining accurate records in line with statutory requirements You will work closely with Heads of Year and the safeguarding team, contributing directly to students’ wellbeing and progress.
