About the position
Are you a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher with a love of sharing your musical knowledge and skills? We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our thriving Music department in a welcoming faith school in Southall. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025. About the Music Department: The Music department is a dynamic and collaborative team with a shared passion for inspiring students' musicality and creativity. We offer a rich and diverse curriculum that covers a wide range of musical styles and traditions, from classical to contemporary. We have excellent facilities, including a dedicated music suite with practice rooms, a recording studio, and a performance space. About the Role: Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Lead and direct school ensembles (e.g., choir, orchestra, band). Organize and participate in school concerts and performances. Foster a love of music in students. Contribute to the department's curriculum development. Work collaboratively with colleagues. Participate in professional development. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Excellent subject knowledge in Music. Passion for teaching and inspiring musicality. Strong instrumental and/or vocal skills. Experience leading ensembles. Ability to build rapport with students. Understanding of the National Curriculum for Music. Commitment to the school's faith ethos.
