The Opportunity A successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Shropshire is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its committed faculty from January 2026. What We’re Looking For We are seeking a teacher who: Holds QTS, PGCE or will be newly qualified in 2026 Has a strong academic background in Science and enthusiasm for teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics Can plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that spark curiosity and encourage independent thinking Uses assessment and feedback effectively to support progress and confidence Is reflective, collaborative and eager to grow within a professional, nurturing environment An interest in enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, competitions or science fairs would be advantageous. Lessons will be designed to build curiosity and confidence, helping all learners to achieve their best. You will contribute to departmental planning and have opportunities to lead or support enrichment activities such as science clubs, trips, and events that promote STEM engagement. As you progress through your ECT years, you’ll take on increasing responsibility, supported by mentoring and professional guidance every step of the way.
