This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, hands-on educator to help shape a forward-thinking curriculum and inspire students to explore design, engineering, and innovation through practical and purposeful learning. 👨‍🏫 About the Role As an Experienced DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) , you will: Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 , and potentially Key Stage 5, with a focus on Resistant Materials, including woods, metals, plastics, and modern materials. Design and deliver engaging, project-based lessons that encourage problem-solving, technical skill development, and creativity. Collaborate with colleagues to shape and refine a dynamic and relevant curriculum aligned with industry trends and student interests. Ensure a strong focus on health and safety in the workshop environment, while modelling correct use of machinery, tools, and materials. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and skill mastery. Support enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities such as STEM clubs, design competitions, and practical workshops.
