An Outstanding Mixed school in Brent is seeking an enthusiastic and well-informed Geography Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful Geography Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the diversity of our planet and the interactions between people and places. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging Geography Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering both physical and human geography. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts and skills. Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity about the world and its challenges. Assess and monitor student progress in geography, providing clear and constructive feedback as a Geography Teacher. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography. Demonstrated experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). A strong and comprehensive knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of making geography relevant and engaging as a Geography Teacher. Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities in their study of geography. A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the humanities department.
