Position details Role: Year 4 Teacher — Brent Start date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time About the role The Year 4 Teacher will plan progressive units that build long-term memory and vocabulary, deliver high-quality guided-reading and mathematical reasoning sessions, and run small-group tuition to accelerate progress. The Year 4 Teacher will apply assessment to identify priorities and will collaborate with subject leads across Brent to develop resources and share best practice. The Year 4 Teacher will also support transition work and whole-school initiatives. Key responsibilities Deliver ambitious Year 4 lessons with purposeful differentiation and challenge. Lead targeted small-group interventions, monitor impact and refine approaches. Contribute to curriculum mapping, moderation and cross-curricular projects across Brent. Communicate attainment and next steps to parents and support reporting cycles. Support enrichment activities and broader school priorities in Brent. Person specification Qualified teacher with demonstrable Year 4/KS2 experience and a track record of improving outcomes. Excellent planning, assessment and behaviour-management skills; collaborative and reflective. Committed to professional development and available to commence January 2026 in Brent.
