School Status & Location Sector: Established Independent Secondary School (with Sixth Form). Location: Guernsey, Channel Islands. Start Date: Permanent, full-time appointment commencing January 2026. The Opportunity & School Profile We are recruiting an inspirational Classics Teacher to foster a passion for the languages and civilisations of the ancient world. The ideal candidate will be skilled in teaching both Latin and Classical Civilisation, driving outstanding scholarly attainment from the introductory stages through to A-Level. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Ancient World Guide: Instructing Classics (Latin and/or Classical Civilisation) across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level. Language & Culture: Cultivating strong grammatical understanding in Latin and critical engagement with Greek and Roman literature and history. Academic Enrichment: Contributing to the development of the Classics Society and supporting related university applications. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Relevant Degree in Classics or related discipline and QTS. Experience teaching the full A-Level curriculum is mandatory.
