Key Responsibilities Litigation Support: Support partners and senior attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. Legal Research & Writing: Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare high-quality memoranda on substantive legal issues. Case Management: Manage case deadlines to ensure timely filings and strict compliance with procedural rules. Client & Witness Interaction: Actively participate in client interviews, witness preparation, depositions, and mediations. Requirements Experience: 3–8 years of litigation experience, with a specific focus on Public Law (experience from a City Attorney's office or a law firm handling public law work is essential). Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Note: Minimum 3.0 GPA required for candidates with under 5 years of practice. Licensure: Active membership in the California State Bar . Skills: Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills are non-negotiable.
