About the position

A leading Independent School in Ealing seeks a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our thriving and academically focused department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire a love of literature, language, and creative writing in students with a wide range of abilities. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level English Literature and Language. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and creative expression. Assess student progress through essays, presentations, creative writing pieces, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to extracurricular activities such as debating societies, creative writing clubs, and theatre trips. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English, with a strong academic background in the subject. Extensive experience teaching English at the secondary level, including GCSE and A-Level. A deep understanding of English literature and language, and the ability to inspire a love of the subject in students. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
