About the position

A well-respected Church of England School in Hillingdon seeks a dedicated and thoughtful Religious Studies Teacher to join our Theology department. We aim to foster students' spiritual development, religious literacy, and understanding of Christian teachings and other faiths within a supportive Christian ethos. About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a supportive and faith-based learning environment rooted in Anglican values. The RS department is committed to delivering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that encourages theological reflection and interfaith dialogue. About the Role: Deliver engaging and reflective Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Christian doctrine, scripture, ethics, and world religions. Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and personal reflection. Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and theological reflections, providing constructive feedback to support their spiritual and academic growth. Contribute to the spiritual life of the school through participation in acts of worship and other religious activities. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Studies or Theology. A strong understanding of Christian theology and the secondary RS curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students in meaningful discussions about faith and ethics. A commitment to the school's Christian ethos and values.
