About the position

A boutique firm forming part of a wider financial services group is urgently seeking an MLRO to join its Sliema office. In this role, you will be part of a high-performing and diverse team, responsible for safeguarding the business and providing expert advice to the Managing Director. This is an office-based role with flexible hours and offers a salary of up to €65K-€68K plus benefits. Role & Responsibilities Perform transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity Handle customer onboarding through Due Diligence and KYC checks Conduct periodic KYC reviews and maintain accurate documentation Prepare and submit STRs to the FIAU Liaise with the FIAU and support annual BRA submissions Ensure compliance with AML regulations in collaboration with Legal & Compliance Assess, report, and follow up on suspicious activity in a timely manner Work closely with KYC, Fraud, and Risk teams Support internal audit processes and documentation Assist with AML and CFT training initiatives Education, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Compliance, or a related field Strong knowledge of AML/CFT compliance and the Maltese regulatory framework for corporate service providers Knowledge of local banking structures is an asset Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook Keen eye for detail; organised and diligent Excellent team player About this role Office based (Monday to Friday and flexible hours) Up to €65K- €68K plus benefits Fantastic career progression Apply with your detailed CV. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
