The Junior Electrical Estimator will assist in preparing accurate, competitive bids for electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimating and a passion for delivering top-notch services to our clients. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for electrical projects - Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment - Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services - Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients within designated deadlines - Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a better understanding of project requirements - Maintain accurate and organized records of bid documents, correspondence, and other project-related information - Keep up-to-date with industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive bidding - Assist in the review and analysis of project costs and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures - Participate in post-bid meetings and discussions with clients to address any questions or concerns - Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from bid to project execution Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field - 1-2 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector - Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes - Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and other technical documents - Excellent mathematical and analytical skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software - Willingness to learn and take on new challenges - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Benefits: - Competitive salary - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan - Paid time off and holidays - Career development and training opportunities - A supportive and collaborative work environment If you are a driven and dedicated individual with a passion for electrical estimating, we want to hear from you!
