About the Role: Deliver engaging and differentiated History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of historical periods and topics in line with the national curriculum. Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, utilizing a variety of teaching resources and strategies, including primary sources and historical interpretations. Assess student progress through essays, source analysis, presentations, and class participation, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning. Contribute to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work within the History department. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History. A good understanding of the secondary history curriculum and effective teaching methodologies, including the use of historical sources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bring historical events and figures to life for students. A passion for history and the ability to foster critical thinking and analytical skills in learners. Benefits: Competitive salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting) commensurate with experience.
