The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, providing targeted support for individual pupils and small groups. You will help create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, confident, and motivated to learn. Your responsibilities will include assisting with learning activities, monitoring pupil progress, supporting social and emotional development, and contributing to a positive classroom culture. Effective collaboration with teachers, colleagues, and parents is essential to ensure pupils receive consistent support. Key Responsibilities Support pupils’ learning in the classroom and in small groups Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development Encourage independence and positive learning behaviours Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other staff Help maintain a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment Communicate effectively with colleagues and, when appropriate, parents The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting Be patient, reliable, and enthusiastic Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills Be proactive, adaptable, and supportive Show a commitment to inclusion and safeguarding Work effectively as part of a collaborative team Why Join This School?
