PE Teacher (Female) - Full-time, Permanent (April 2025 Start) Are you a dynamic and inspiring PE Teacher (Female) eager to empower young women through physical activity in a large and successful school in Westminster? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our PE department, starting April 2025. Our PE department is a team of experts dedicated to providing engaging and empowering lessons, with a focus on inclusivity and female participation. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a focus on female participation, and adapt lessons to the needs of students joining mid-year. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of sporting abilities and interests, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their physical development, despite the mid-year commencement. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including fitness training, team sports, individual activities, and digital fitness tools, to enhance student learning and engagement. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual development, fostering a deep understanding of physical fitness and sportsmanship, and helping students integrate mid-year. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level PE examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and sports science, and providing targeted support for those joining mid-year. Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and resources, with a focus on female participation, and adapt to the school's needs for a mid-year transition. Foster a love of sports and physical activity in students, encouraging them to develop their skills, confidence, and leadership qualities, and to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider sporting and extracurricular life of the school, including participation in female-focused sports initiatives. Organize and lead extracurricular sports activities and school teams, particularly those focused on female participation, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education, with a focus on female participation and sports science. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level PE examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills. Ability to inspire and motivate female students of all sporting abilities, including those joining mid-year. A passion for sports and a commitment to promoting female participation and a healthy lifestyle. Ability to organize and lead extracurricular sports activities and school teams. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to quickly integrate into a school environment mid-year. Benefits: Full-time, permanent position, starting April 2025.
