Position: Project Manager Multi-Family Residential Construction Location: Calgary, Alberta About the Role: An established and reputable homebuilder in Calgary is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Manager to oversee the execution of multi-family residential construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality, multi-unit housing developments and vibrant communities while collaborating with a dynamic team. The successful candidate will focus on managing multi-family projects such as townhomes, duplexes, and other multi-unit properties, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain project timelines, schedules, and budgets for multi-family residential construction projects. Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project milestones and organizational goals. Ensure all projects comply with local zoning regulations, permits, and building codes. Project Oversight & Execution: Oversee all phases of construction for multi-family developments, from site preparation and framing to final finishes. Monitor contractor and trade performance to ensure quality and efficiency. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld. Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to clients, project teams, and leadership on progress, timelines, and potential challenges. Act as the primary liaison between the organization and subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners. Team Leadership & Support: Mentor and guide project team members, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned and executed effectively. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Risk & Issue Management: Identify and address potential risks to avoid delays and cost overruns. Resolve construction issues promptly to maintain project timelines and budgets. Types of Projects You'll Manage: Multi-Family Residences: Focus on the development of townhomes, duplexes, stacked flats, and other multi-unit housing projects. Community-Based Initiatives: Oversee projects that integrate residential builds with green spaces, amenities, and supporting infrastructure. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field. 5+ years of project management experience in multi-family residential construction is strongly preferred. Deep understanding of multi-family construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, teams, and stakeholders. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar software). Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with exceptional organizational skills. What's in It for You?
