Supplier Industrialization Engineer (SIE) – Mechanical & Electromechanical Focus: Mechanical, Top-Level Assembly (TLA) & Motor Manufacturing About the Role We are seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer (SIE) to scale mechanical and electromechanical manufacturing from prototype through high-volume global production. This role acts as a technical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, driving DFM/DFA, supplier readiness, automation, and quality execution. Experience in motor manufacturing (winding, lamination stack, soldering, electromechanical assemblies) is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Development & Industrialization Qualify, audit, and develop global suppliers for: Motors and magnetic assemblies (winding, insulation, balancing) Thermal systems (heat pipes, fans, housings) Injection, blow, and foam molding High-volume metal processes (die casting, forging, stamping, sheet metal) Precision assemblies (cameras, sensors, antennas) Lead supplier readiness from NPI through mass production Drive tooling strategy, automation readiness, and yield improvement Quality & Compliance Own supplier quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949) Lead pFMEA, SPC, PPAP, DOE, and Gage R&R activities Investigate factory and field issues; drive root cause and corrective actions Use statistical tools (JMP, Minitab, R/Python) to track performance and reduce defects Manufacturing Readiness & Process Optimization Partner with design teams to embed DFM/DFA early in development Optimize process flows for motor and electromechanical assemblies Define semi-automated and fully automated manufacturing lines Develop End-of-Line (EOL) testing and in-process inspection strategies Qualifications 7+ years in Supplier Industrialization, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering Strong hands-on experience with: Motor manufacturing (winding, lamination, soldering) Electromechanical assemblies High-volume mechanical production Solid understanding of tooling, fixtures, and GD&T Experience with NPI ramp, supplier audits, and process qualification Proficiency in CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent) Data-driven mindset with strong statistical analysis capability Effective communicator across engineering, operations, and supplier teams This position offers a hands-on opportunity to directly impact manufacturing scalability, quality, and production readiness across complex mechanical and electromechanical systems, working closely with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.Place of work
