Night Shift Shredder Lead / Shredder Supervisor (Industrial Recycling) Night Shift | 4-Day Workweek (Mon–Thu) | 10-Hour Shifts Hours: 5:30 PM – 3:30 AM (flexible) Our client is hiring an experienced Night Shift Shredder Lead to oversee industrial shredder operations and lead a night production team of 9 employees . This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate heavy machinery, manage workflow, enforce safety, and hit production targets in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor industrial shredders, conveyors, and related equipment Lead, assign, and supervise a night shift crew Ensure material quality, proper flow, and contamination prevention Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and report equipment issues Enforce OSHA safety standards, PPE usage, and company policies Track nightly production, downtime, and material output Maintain 5S standards and a clean, organized work area Train operators and communicate with the day shift leadership Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or recycling operations 2–5 years operating shredders or heavy machinery 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in production environments Proven ability to lead and hold teams accountable Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Forklift experience (preferred) Ability to lift 50+ lbs Experience working night shifts in industrial settings
