Bridge Project Manager / Senior Bridge Engineer (PE) Hybrid | Herndon, VA | Transportation & Infrastructure A growing engineering firm in Herndon, VA, is seeking an experienced Bridge Project Manager to lead bridge and transportation structure projects across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic . This role is ideal for a Senior Bridge Engineer (PE) transitioning into a client-facing project management leadership role . Youll manage project delivery, client coordination, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams while providing technical oversight on high-profile bridge and transportation infrastructure projects ranging from $5M–$10M+ , including design-build pursuits . Key Responsibilities Lead bridge and structural projects within scope, schedule, and budget Serve as primary client contact and manage stakeholder relationships Provide technical oversight and review of bridge/structural design work Manage project schedules, staffing plans, budgets, and risk mitigation Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants Monitor project performance, quality, and financials Prepare progress reports, invoices, and client presentations Mentor staff and support team development Support business development, proposals, and interviews Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus, ABET-accredited) 10+ years of bridge and structural design experience Professional Engineer (PE) license (Virginia preferred or ability to obtain VA PE) Demonstrated progression into project management Strong client-facing communication and leadership skills Preferred Experience Experience with VDOT and Virginia local agencies Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and P3 delivery methods Large-scale or complex transportation infrastructure projects Managing multidisciplinary engineering teams Work Model Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (Wed & Fri remote) Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $140,000 – $170,000 (DOE) Bonus eligibility Relocation signing bonus (paid after 90 days)
