About the Role As a Year 1 Class Teacher, you will: - Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum. - Support pupils in transitioning smoothly from EYFS into Year 1 expectations. - Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and plan next steps. - Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued. - Collaborate with the SENCO, support staff, and families to ensure every child thrives. - Contribute to the wider life of the school, including assemblies, events, and enrichment activities. What We’re Looking For - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1. - Strong knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum and early learning pedagogy. - A reflective, nurturing, and organised approach to teaching. - Excellent classroom management and communication skills. - A collaborative mindset, particularly suited to a close-knit one-form entry school.
