Founding Backend / Platform Engineer (Early Team)

The company is founded by the CEO of SummitNext , a global outsourcing company with 400+ employees across multiple countries. NumeriQu is being built to help founders and leadership teams turn financial data into clear, actionable decisions — starting with Outsourcing and SaaS. The Opportunity We are looking for a Founding Backend / Platform Engineer to build the technical backbone of NumeriQu. This is an early, high-ownership role. You will work directly with the founder to translate business problems into scalable backend systems. Over time, this role is expected to grow into a Tech Lead / CTO role as the company scales. This role is best suited for someone who wants to build from scratch , learn fast, and take real ownership. What Youll Work On Designing and building the core backend architecture Integrating with multiple data sources (APIs, files, databases) Designing databases and data models for analytics Building reliable data pipelines Making early decisions around scalability, performance, and security Exploring AI/ML capabilities where they create real value Who Should Apply You should apply if you: Enjoy building systems from scratch Are comfortable working with ambiguity Can translate business needs into technical solutions Want to grow into a leadership / CTO role over time Value ownership and long-term impact over short-term comfort You do not need to have held a CTO title before. What Were Looking For Strong backend development experience (any modern stack) Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and integrations Experience working with data-heavy systems Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) Interest in AI/ML (hands-on experience is a plus, not mandatory) Compensation Early-stage compensation with meaningful equity / upside Opportunity to shape the product and architecture from Day 1 Clear growth path into a Tech Lead / CTO role
