About the position

A leading Sixth Form College in Westminster seeks a dynamic and highly knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join our Business and Economics department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to develop a deep understanding of economic principles and their application to real-world scenarios. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons at A-Level, covering core areas such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and international economics. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that incorporate case studies, economic simulations, and critical analysis of economic data and policies, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of economic theories and methodologies. Assess student progress through essays, presentations, economic reports, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their academic development. Organize and facilitate economics-related workshops, debates, and visits to financial institutions and economic conferences, enriching students' learning experiences and promoting their interest in economics. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Economics or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of economic theories and models. Extensive experience teaching A-Level Economics, with a proven track record of student success and a commitment to high academic standards. Strong knowledge of economic research methods, data analysis, and economic policy analysis. Excellent communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
