About the position

A diverse Mixed Comprehensive School in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated Sociology Teacher to join our Humanities department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to critically examine society and social issues. About Our Learning Community: Our school values social awareness and encourages students to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level. Develop and implement lesson plans covering sociological theories, research methods, and contemporary social issues. Facilitate student-led discussions, debates, and research projects. Assess student progress through written assignments, presentations, and examinations. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the sociology curriculum. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Sociology or a related field. Extensive experience teaching sociology at the secondary level. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. A passion for fostering sociological understanding and critical thinking.
