Position: Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) Location: Kilburn, North West London Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Term-time only Salary: £85–£105 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate and September Starts Available About the Role A welcoming primary school in Kilburn, North West London is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in Nursery and Reception. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and play-based learning. The EYFS TA will work with children aged 3–5 years , supporting their social, emotional, and academic development. The school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework , emphasizing creativity, curiosity, and independence in a safe and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities Work with small groups and individual children to support development Assist with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and creative play Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing Support children with personal care when required (toileting, meals, dressing) Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS expectations Prepare and maintain engaging classroom environments and resources Support indoor and outdoor learning activities Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience Build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents The Ideal Candidate Warm, patient, and enthusiastic Passionate about early years education Knowledgeable about EYFS and child-centred learning Confident supporting children with varying needs and abilities Works well as part of a team and independently Communicates effectively with children, staff, and parents Essential Requirements Experience working in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting Understanding of the EYFS framework Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Right to work in the UK Desirable (Not Essential) Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification Experience supporting SEN within EYFS Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training Why Kilburn?
