About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of academically gifted students. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including primary source analysis, debates, and research projects, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level History examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria. Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and resources, integrating advanced historical concepts and research findings. Foster a love of history in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to history and humanities. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in History, including advanced topics. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level History examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate high-achieving students. A passion for history and a commitment to fostering historical inquiry.
