The Opportunity & Role Profile This welcoming primary school requires a dedicated and trustworthy Caretaker to oversee the security and upkeep of its busy facilities. The school needs a responsible professional who prioritizes the safety of younger pupils, handling daily maintenance tasks and ensuring the campus is clean and functional. Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope Access Anchor: Key holder duties, managing alarm systems, and securely locking up and opening the premises. Maintenance Mechanic: Performing routine minor repairs (DIY, basic upkeep), and coordinating larger maintenance needs with the leadership team. Safety Sentinel: Conducting daily checks to ensure play areas and internal spaces meet rigorous health and safety standards. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a maintenance or site role, practical skills, and strong commitment to working in a child-centered environment. Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (ranging from £26,000 – £31,000 Annually). Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
