DT Teacher - Full-time, Permanent (September 2025 Start) Are you a creative and practical DT Teacher ready to inspire students in a Church of England secondary school in Kensington? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Design and Technology department, starting September 2025. Our Design and Technology department is a collaborative team dedicated to providing a stimulating and engaging curriculum that encourages students to explore a wide range of design and technological processes. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including practical workshops, CAD/CAM software, and design projects, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Design and Technology examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria. Contribute to the development of the Design and Technology curriculum and resources, integrating faith-based perspectives where appropriate. Foster a love of design and technology in students, encouraging them to develop their creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and upholding the school's Christian ethos. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Design and Technology examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and practical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. A commitment to the values and ethos of Church of England education. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
